Application deadline was 19 May 2022!
The digital revolution is picking up pace, driving a strongly networked economy, more flexible production and many new business models and value chains. But the digital age also brings with it a rise in the frequency of cyberattacks.
These attacks are hitting companies, public institutions and critical infrastructure. Any company of any size in any industry can be affected. The financial and social damage can be immense. According to a study by Bitkom*, nine out of ten companies’ digital infrastructure were the subject of theft, espionage or sabotage in 2020/21.
Cyberattacks continue to grow, but so too does the number of innovative solutions to help defend against online threats. These include technical solutions to prevent and defend against attacks, methods and techniques for identifying vulnerabilities and actions to take when a virus hits.
We have been honouring innovations for the world of tomorrow since 2010. Every year, we choose a topic of the future that’s important today. With this year’s NEO Innovation Award, we want to put innovative solutions from different areas of cybersecurity in the spotlight and reward them – from raising awareness, to preventing attacks, to dealing with a threat. This includes organisational concepts, methods, processes, technologies, products and services
that serve to improve cybersecurity in the long term, detect security gaps or mitigate the damage caused by an attack. Cross-border cooperation projects are also welcome.
This year, we are once again awarding € 20,000 to the best entry from Germany or across the border in Alsace,
France. We are looking forward to your submission and seeing you tackle the great challenges of our time. Any company, organisation, public administration or scientific institution in Germany or Alsace in France is eligible to enter. The deadline for applications was 19 May 2022. Now it's up to our jury!
We are looking forward seeing how the applicants tackle the great challenges of our time.
