Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion Healthcare Alliance

Originally part of the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion Skills Alliance, the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion Healthcare Alliance was established as a non-profit association on 16 October 2015.

This alliance brings together healthcare, in-patient, out-patient and elderly care organisations, educational institutions and other key political and administrative players.

The members of the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion Healthcare Alliance are committed to working together to tackle the challenges facing the whole of society brought about by factors such as demographic change, increasing care needs, skills shortages and the ever diminishing potential for caregiving in the family. In doing so they want to play an active role in ensuring high-quality healthcare in a strong regional alliance.

The Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion Healthcare Alliance aims to create a closely-meshed, interdisciplinary network and develop joint strategies for tackling the present-day challenges in healthcare.

In particular, it aims to:

  • attract, promote and retain skilled healthcare professionals in the region
  • support education and training
  • take steps to raise the public profile of careers in healthcare
  • undertake joint PR activities and represent interests
  • collaborate with complementary organisations.
