Discover one of Germany's most sought-after regions. Karlsruhe, a dynamic city that is just 300 years old, offers visitors an astonishing variety of places worth seeing - from buildings to squares, museums, streets, gardens and parks. Baden-Baden, with attractions such as the Lichtentaler Allee, the Kurhaus, the casino and the racecourse in Iffezheim, exudes an incomparable, sophisticated ambience. The Maulbronn Monastery, which has been declared a World Heritage Site, is one of the most important sights in the region. The monastery concerts held here from May to September are among the cultural highlights.

The diverse and first-class range of sports on offer is a key element of the region's success. With around 1,500 sports clubs and almost 60 different types of sport, the SportRegion Karlsruhe offers a comprehensive range of popular and recreational sports in particular.
  • Gastronomy: The selection of gastronomic offerings in the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion ranges from dishes prepared by traditional master chefs to creations by renowned star chefs. The culinary delights particularly reflect the proximity to France and the regionally grown wine.
